Infamous Last Words: Leandro N. Alem (1841-1896)

Infamous Last Words:

Leandro N. Alem (1841-1896) was an Argentine politician, born in Buenos Aires and a leader of the Radical Civic Union. He was also an active Freemason. He was famous for his remarkable diary, which was written in code and only translated in the late 1960s. He was quite explicit in describing his “morning wood” and often used the phrase, “no se dobla!” or “no podía doblar con las dos manos!” meaning: “Couldn’t bend it with both hands.”

On his deathbed he wrote: “Bent it with one hand easy!” and “Must be getting stronger.”
